My work with Mushroom results in hundreds of designs, mocks, and prototypes. Below are some of my favorites!
Originally, the name of the company was called "Base" and I started by creating some concepts around the idea of a home base you call your own. I liked the idea of using a flag and/or the letter "B" for Base.
Shortly after, there was a shift in the company name from Base to Mushroom (much better name IMO!). I started with some basic logo concepts to narrow in on an idea that could work with the upcoming gaming social platform.
We all liked the bottom concepts and after some finesse, the final logo for Mushroom was completed.
I always like to do a scale test to ensure the branding elements work well at large and small sizes.
The majority of the platform is interacting with feeds, other users, games, etc. but we needed landing pages for SEO, lead generation, and to properly funnel new users into this new platform. Here's a look at some landing page designs.
When a new user joins the platform through Discord, we're able to greet them with Guild suggestions, Follow suggestions, and more for an even better experience once they've fully signed up.
Mushroom is the social home for gamers, so it was important to design and plan features that were both familiar but also injected new and exciting elements to the typical loop of socializing online including:
• Social feeds that featured exciting, relevant gaming content
• Questing for both solo play and as a Guild
• Sending/Receiving Mushroom Coins
• A rich, digital Marketplace with seller analytics
• Discovering new people, Guilds, and games through the platform
Sending and receiving coins between players is one of the most used features on the platform. These coins can then be used for profile customization including pets, avatar borders, color changes, as well Quest XP Boosts!
Sellers on the platform can deep dive into their analytics to see which of their items are selling, their Store rank, and more.
